Digital arting (Sometimes i frolick in the woods):

My current and much loved profession is working as the Lead Artist for Speedtree. Speedtree is a modeling software for environmental models for games and VFX in movies.

I get to  create digital trees and vegetation from the ground up. This starts in the forest, often times at an arboretum where I begin research and take a lot of reference photos. We then do surface scanning for PBR texture creation for a whole library of barks, leaves and fungus. I then use the SpeedTree software to procedural put together tree models.
